In
2009 Dirk Jan Müller (Electric Orange, Cosmic Ground
& Space Invaders) and I had the idea to record a
parody of Avantgarde.
So,
one night in October, we bought a box of beer, some
salt + vinegar crisps and went to Studio Fleisch overnight.
After we made shure, that the beer tasted fine, the
crisps were crumbly enough and Dirk checked the fog
machine we started recording. 7 Parts in one night.
That was fun. On the next morning we went to a yard
sale, just a few meters from Studio Fleisch and found
a 70s book about sex education. We agreed immediately,
that we found our album cover.
I
guess it was the Lumber Jack, who worked all night and
slept all day. So we did. Next evening we bought a box
of beer, some salt + vinegar crisps and went to Studio
Fleisch overnight again. After we made shure, that the
beer tasted fine, the crisps were crumbly enough we
started mixing the sessions from night before, did the
crossfades between 5 parts, and some mastering. Et voilà:
The Hausfrauen of Death were born.
First
we thought we cannot show this rubbish to anybody. But
a few years later we thought about releasing our project,
which gave us so much fun and we put it on Bandcamp.
And we couldn´t believe how successful it became…
